Cacti Collection

Cacti cultivation is more like specialization in a part of gardening. So, those who are interested in gardening but are too lazy to take care can start growing cacti. There are different types of cacti and it is very easy to cultivate cacti as they do not need much attention. Cacti are succulents (but not all succulents are cacti ) & spines are found on all true cacti. These spines grown from small tuft of hair or wool. This is known as an areole and is unique feature of this plant. No cacti have leaves except the Genus Pereskia. Art of writing is known as calligraphy. Calligraphy is an art which anyone can take it up as a hobby. A pen and a paper is all you need to do calligraphy. Calligraphy can be lot of fun and enjoyed by old and aged. Today with use of computers in our everyday life, calligraphy as an art is almost forgotten. However, it continues to flourish in wedding and event invitations, original hand lettered logo design, religious art, graphic design, cut stone inscriptions and memorial documents. Bonsai -- Tray Planting

Bonsai is the fine art of cultivating miniature trees. In Japanese, it is literally translated as "Tray Planting". Bonsai is the art of dwarfing trees and developing them into good, decent shape by pruning, training and re potting by applying different techniques. Bonsai is actively practiced by many. Bonsai is a hobby that allows one to be with nature constantly. The height of most bonsai range from 5 centimetres (2 in) to 1 metre (3.33 ft) and are developed from seeds or cuttings from young, stunted trees. Bonsai are often referred to as "heaven and earth in one container" since they are complete in itself but yet part of nature. Bonsai plants are positioned at the centre as center point is symbolically regarded as the meeting point of heaven and earth.
