Journey to Tirupathi: Embracing Divine Bliss and Spiritual Grace in the Sacred Hills of Sri Venkateswara & Sri Padmavathi
A Soulful Journey and Blissful Experience:
The sacred town of Tirupathi, nestled in the hills of Tirumala, is home to the revered Sri Venkateswara Swami Temple. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu, this temple attracts millions of devotees seeking solace, blessings, and a divine connection. Recently, my family and I embarked on a spiritual journey to Tirupathi, and here's a recount of our memorable experience.
Embarking on the Spiritual Voyage:
Our journey commenced from Bangalore aboard the CMNR TPTY EXP #16219 train, departing from the Majestic railway station at 8.30 PM. Despite the late-night departure, the train reached Tirupati station promptly at 3.30 AM the next day. The bustling station hinted at the multitude of pilgrims converging for their spiritual journey.
Meeting Ammavaru at Thiruchanoor:
Upon arrival, we promptly called our trusty auto driver, making our way to Thiruchanoor to seek the blessings of Sri Padmavathi Thaayar, the divine consort of Lord Venkateswara. After refreshing at a modest room, we adorned ourselves in traditional attire and embarked on a soulful journey to meet the goddess.
General Darshan and Amma's Blessings:
Surrendering our mobiles and smartwatches, we joined the general queue for Ammavaru's darshan, receiving her divine blessings for the new year. Expressing gratitude, we made offerings in the hundi and relished prasadam and theertam before proceeding to witness the deities Srinivasar, Sridevi, Booma Devi, Balaram, and Krishna.
Savoring the Divine Flavors:
With laddu prasadams in hand, we exited the temple, bidding farewell to our auto friends, and made our way to Tirupathi railways station bus stop to catch the AC buses to the hilltop.
The scenic journey, priced at Rs. 110 per person, prepared us for the next phase of our spiritual adventure.
Ascending the Hills and VarahaSwamy Darshan:
Having pre-booked Rs. 300 special entry darshan tickets, we marveled at the breathtaking sunrise during the 1 km ascent. The security checks at Alipiri added to the anticipation as we approached the Varagaswamy sannadhi for blessings.
Following a hearty breakfast, we queued up for the special darshan, surrendering our belongings for safekeeping.
Divine Darshan and Offering:
Navigating through various checks and lines, we finally stood before the magnificent Sri Srinivasa Perumal (Balaji). The 2-3 km walk, including Tula balaram Madapam and few other mandapas, a dvajasthambam, a Bali Pitha, culminated in a blissful darshan.
We expressed gratitude by offering our belongings in the hundi and collected our laddus from the counters beside the temple.
Return Journey and Reflection:
With hearts full of devotion and blessings, we retraced our steps, collecting our belongings, and boarding an AC bus for the descent.
Journey to Tirupathi: Embracing Divine Bliss and Spiritual Grace in the Sacred Hills of Mrs and Mr Padmavathi Srinivasar.
Our recent trip to Tirupathi was more than a physical journey; it was a spiritual odyssey filled with divine encounters, soul-stirring moments, and the unending grace of Lord Venkateswara.
As we returned to Bangalore, the echoes of "Govina Govinda" resonated in our hearts, a testament to the love and blessings that permeated every step of our sacred pilgrimage.
!!! Happy New year 2024 was really a great start !!!
