What started as a casual weekend trek turned out to be a heartwarming, unforgettable journey that rekindled our college vibes and created beautiful bonds with strangers who soon became friends for life.
Day 1: Senji Fort Vibes & Farm Stay Magic 🌿
We all hopped on the bus from different spots in Chennai, full of excitement and curiosity. With cheerful intros, spontaneous dance moves, singing, and some harmless “ragging,” the ice melted quickly—and laughter became the soundtrack of our ride!
A quick breakfast at Ananda Bhavan near Tindivanam gave us the much-needed energy boost—mini tiffin and coffee worked their magic. By then, we already felt like we were on a college road trip!
As the bus rolled on, reels were made, songs were sung, and new friendships started to bloom. By afternoon, we reached the iconic Senji Fort, geared up with sunscreen and water bottles, ready to conquer the trek.
The sun was strong, but the company was stronger. Climbing up was a challenge, but the encouragement, laughter, and water breaks kept us going. And wow—the view from the top was totally worth it! With the breeze brushing past and the city stretching below, it felt like time stood still. Photos, jokes, and chilled-out moments followed before we trekked back down.
Next stop: Pathayam Farm Stay, Tiruvannamalai. The place was like a hidden green paradise—quiet, calm, and refreshing. Our rooms were comfy, and the setting felt like a sweet escape from city life.
Lunch was pure bliss—simple, delicious village-style veg meals served near a beautiful garden and an old-style well. Some of our wild souls even jumped into the well for a swim to cool off after the trek!
The evening was all about heart-to-heart conversations. We laughed, we listened, we shared pieces of our lives with people who, just hours ago, were strangers. It felt safe, warm, and honest.
As night crept in, games, singing, and dancing kept the spirits high. But guess what? A surprise rain shower crashed the party—power cut and all! Yet, it turned into a magical twist. Some danced in the rain, while others huddled in one room, playing dumb charades and storytelling. In those moments, true friendships began to form.
Dinner wrapped up a perfect day, though a few of us stayed up playing cards before hitting the bed.
Day 2: Conquering Parvadhamalai ⛰️
We woke up early (a little late though 😄), packed up, and grabbed our breakfast. By 7:30 AM, we reached the base of Parvadhamalai and began our trek.
It started off together, then slowly split into smaller groups as we found our pace. The climb was tougher than expected, but with constant support, cheers, and helping hands, we made it to the top by noon.
The view Absolutely breathtaking. The peace Unmatched. And the Lord Shiva (Manjunatha) darshan felt like a divine reward after the climb. We ate our packed lunch, soaked in the serenity, and then began our descent.
By 5 PM, we all made it back to the bus, exhausted but glowing with joy. We left for Chennai by 7 PM, hearts full and faces smiling.
This trek was more than just a trip—it was about real connections, shared stories, helping hands, and lots of laughter.
Thanks to Trek with Strangers for creating this beautiful space for strangers to become friends. Huge love and thanks to the organizers, fellow travelers, and a special shoutout to our amazing driver and cleaner anna!
