After a peaceful stay in Leh, I boarded my flight to Jammu with excitement for another beautiful chapter of my journey. As soon as I landed, I took an auto to my hostel – Wild Sapiens Station, and what a lovely place it turned out to be! The hostel had such a warm, friendly, and vibrant vibe, filled with travellers and backpackers from different places, each carrying their own stories and adventures.
After a quick freshen-up and some lovely conversations with fellow travellers, I booked a Rapido bike and started exploring the city.
Exploring the Spiritual & Historic Side of Jammu 🛕🏰
My first stop was the serene TTD Sri Venkateswara Temple, where I felt instantly at home. The peaceful atmosphere and divine energy reminded me of Tirupati and made my heart immensely happy.
From there, I explored:
Bahu Fort and Bahu Mandir, offering beautiful views of the city.
Charming local cafés and streets filled with life.
The famous Raghunath Temple, one of Jammu's most iconic temples.
Jammu Zoo, where nature and wildlife added a refreshing touch to the day.
The aquarium, local markets, and several hidden gems around the city.
After an eventful morning, I returned to the hostel for a delicious lunch and some much-needed rest. One of my favourite parts of travelling is meeting people from different backgrounds, and the hostel gave me plenty of opportunities to do exactly that. Conversations, laughter, travel stories, and shared experiences made the afternoon truly memorable.
As evening approached, I headed towards the beautiful lake area. The gentle breeze, peaceful walking paths, and the calm waters created a perfect setting for reflection and gratitude. Watching the sunset there felt magical.
Day 2 – Slow Mornings & Simple Joys ☕🌿
The second day started slowly, exactly the way I love travelling.
After spending some relaxed time at the hostel, cooking and enjoying a simple homemade meal, I stepped out again to explore the temples around the Sidhra area of Jammu.
These smaller temples carried their own charm—less crowded, peaceful, and deeply spiritual. Walking through the local lanes, observing everyday life, and soaking in the simplicity of the surroundings made the day even more meaningful.
Jammu was not just about sightseeing for me. It was about slowing down, meeting beautiful souls, finding peace in simple moments, and enjoying every little experience—from hostel conversations and mountain mornings to temple visits and lakeside walks.
Some journeys are not about ticking places off a list; they are about how those places make you feel. Jammu was one such beautiful feeling for me. ❤️🏔️
Excellent, had a good experience trip.
