This historical fiction novel, serialized in the Tamil magazine Kalki from October 29, 1950, to May 16, 1954, and later compiled into five volumes in 1955, is widely regarded as the greatest historical novel of all time.
Spanning approximately 2,210 pages, the story delves into the early life of Chola prince Arulmozhivarman and his adventures alongside his companion, Valavarayan Vandiyadevan.
The volumes are aptly titled:
