✈️ Arrival and First Impressions
Touchdown at Port Blair — the gateway to paradise! With excitement bubbling, our Andaman adventure began the moment we checked into our cozy homestay(Continental Homestay Haddo). A delicious local breakfast and a rented bike later, we were ready to explore every bit of this island’s charm.
🐚 Day 1: Heritage Trails & Ocean Breeze
Our first stop was the Samudrika Marine Museum, a treasure trove of stories about the Indian Navy, Andaman’s diverse tribes, and the breathtaking underwater world.
Riding across the Chatham Bridge, we reached the Forest Museum and Chatham Saw Mill, one of Asia’s oldest. It was fascinating to see how ancient timbers were turned into intricate art pieces — each with a story of craftsmanship and culture.
The trail continued along the calm Chatham Bay, leading us to Baruch Hanuman Temple and Maha Kallu Temple — both peaceful, tucked away amidst greenery and echoing with temple bells.
Our next stop, the Haddo Forest Club and Nature Park, felt like a green oasis — with its rock garden, butterfly park, and marine displays.
As the sun began to dip, we arrived at the iconic Cellular Jail — a silent yet powerful monument that tells tales of India’s freedom struggle. Walking through its historic corridors was an emotional moment — a reminder of the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for our independence.
We ended the evening at Corbyn’s Cove Beach — the waves kissing the shore, a hint of drizzle in the air, and the sky turning soft grey. Though the sunset hid behind the clouds, the peace we found there made it the perfect close to Day 1.

🌅 Day 2: Sunrise, Temples & Local Flavors
Our second day began early — 4:30 AM to be precise — as we set out to Delanipur Viewpoint for the sunrise. Though the sky stayed cloudy, the calm blue glow over the Bay of Bengal was magical.
After breakfast, we embarked on a temple trail across Haddo and Lillipur — each shrine a pocket of peace and devotion. We visited:

🛕 Radhakrishna Temple
🛕 Shri Bala Ganapathi Temple
🛕 MES Ayyappa Temple
🛕 Samapuram Mariamman Temple
🛕 Vazhi Thunai Vinayagar Temple
🛕 Sri Sonaiya & Karupar Temple

Each temple carried its own rhythm — from chanting devotees to incense-scented courtyards — offering a perfect blend of spirituality and serenity.
We later wandered through Aberdeen Bazaar, where the island came alive — colorful stalls, handmade crafts, local snacks, and warm smiles. A bit of shopping and a lot of laughter wrapped up our soulful Day 2.
