How does my body work!!!

Today I would like to share the most important concept which I felt everyone should know. Its about how our body works. After reading the benefits of natural foods, many of you might be wondering, "if a simple vegetable/fruit can prevent many diseases then why am I taking medications for my illness?! How does these medicines differ from natural remedy?" To get the answer, we must first know how our body works and what is actually happening when we take a chemical drug or a natural food/herb. I want to make the explanation as simple as possible. I am not going to include any biological terms as I want everyone to understand better.  First of all, why should you know how your body works? Does it really matter?? YES! It matters a lot. Lets say you have a motorcycle. If you know everything about your vehicle, you wont look for an automobile shop and you will have the courage to fix it on your own. Do you remember Brahmi!!! (Vallaarai in Tamil)

There are 2 varieties of Brahmi with the botanical names - Bacopa Monnieri and Centella Asiatica. The name "Brahmi" is used interchangeably. Both are used in Ayurveda/ Siddha medicines extensively for all neurological and psychological issues including Autism, ADHD, Alzheimer, Depression, Dementia, Schizophrenia etc.  Every disease starts in the gut. When it comes to neurological/ psychological diseases, gut health plays a main role. It is prescribed to almost all patients affected from psychological disorders. This will bring back the friendly bacteria and improves gut health. More about the healing power of Takra will be coming in a future article. In Ay...

Alzheimer's, Autism, Cancer and Depression. Decades ago, it was said that Indians have very few cases of these diseases. But what is the situation now? I am sure you must be knowing atleast one person suffering from one of these diseases. Lot of researches and debates are going on in the medical world to find the exact cause. The following are suspected as a potential cause: Vaccines, pesticides, GMOs, heavy metals, hereditary. But when they do a research taking one of these into consideration, the link between these causes and the diseases come back negative (or at-least it is told so). So it remain confusing to everyone. Why is that?  Ayurveda always focuses on food combination, how incompatible combination causes issues. For example: Milk is good. Banana is also good. But what happens when you ha...
